If you’re using sex toy cleaner then you should look for a water based cleaner that is alcohol and paragon free. Toy cleaning sprays can be the best option. Before you use them always have a look at what the ingredients are. Knowing what the ingredients are is very important given the toys will be going in your body, your partner’s body or your mouth. It’s vital to know the ingredients in case there are any that you’re allergic to. Bleach for example should never be used on any sex toys that are going near the vulva because the bleach could cause a harmful reaction. Knowing the ingredients will help you determine that the cleaner is suitable for your toys.
Can I put my sex toys in the dishwasher?
Technically there is nothing stopping you putting your toys in the dishwasher but you should always check that the toys are dishwasher safe before you entertain that idea. Experts don’t recommend it though because dishwasher soap can leave residue. That said, you can always run the dishwasher without soap for a few minutes to wash the toys.
How often should I wash my sex toys?
Ideally, you should wash your sex toys between uses, so that means after you use it you should wash it. Genital tissue can be very sensitive and susceptible to yeast infections if the toys are not cleaned, and there is nothing worse than getting a bacterial infection which could take away your sexual enjoyment for days or weeks.
